9.00 (very good) Army plus Church and soldiers vs. bishops... well, I'm buying it and Im so in love with the characters^_^ Hakuren reminds me of Lelouch since Jun Fukuyama is voicing him in a very similar way, he's so adorable^_^ too bad he is "just" a replacement for Mikage (hmm, spoiler? really sorry for that)... Anyway I would pick up Frau as my fav, he is the funniest^_^ anime needs at least second season, but they aren't making any( T_T) so I guess I'll continue with the manga^_^ But I don't throw away my hopes!

Afro Samurai

Last Updated: Jun 29, 2011

6.75 (above average) NIce one, but... I don't really like this one. Samurais and katanas don't really fit with Negroes... similar try was Samurai Champloo, where japanese Edo era was a little mixed with hip hop. I like it much more than Afro though (maybe cause of Mugen and Kazuya Nakai). So generally don't like the idea of that hybrid. But not only that. The plot itself wasn't a masterpiece too. However I like one idea here (spoiler, lookout!): that he had an imaginary friend. Don't say its a bad show, just not hiting my type.

9.25 (very good) Inredible combination of comedy, action and emotions! Perfectly finished story with all issues solved and touching ending. Opening and ending are changing according to the flow of the story (ending is even skipped somethimes). Theres only 13 eps and Im starting to think how great potency short series have. Maybe thers just no time to waste (no place for fillers as well). Back to Angel Beats.. what else should I say, great music, true, likeable characters (my fav is going to Hinata and Naoi, but theres a lot of awesome chars)... Can recommend to everyone!^_^

9.00 (very good) Just started but I have really high expectations about it! Art style and also the story are awesome so far, can't wait to see the next ep^_^ Remind me of D.gray-man with that exoscists theme, but I believe it will turn to be an original one thanks to the main characters. I wonder if it will make it to my favourites in the end^_^
End of just the first season I think. Very good so far, but I want to see the real end.

8.50 (very good) Whoa, finally finished it. I dropped it after 7th episode for about half a year. However, I'm glad I came back to it. Propably I forget if the first story was really good or not. It was heavy for sure and the plot was developing slowly. No doubt that the japanese writer of "No longer human" book (I'm sure it was the title of the first story) was really desperate and even commited suicide if I remember correctly. I believe I wasn't interested in the second story much. Maybe thats the reason I dropped the series. "Kokoro" (the same author as "No longer human") was a lot better. Not everything is said from the start so the plot is quite intriguing. Then was "Run Melos" about friendship, with following leitmotiv: which is worse- wait or make someone waiting. Really like this one, it was touching. The last story was good as well. Two tragedic stories were shown- of a murderer and of an artist.
Overall its a good show, with awesome graphics. All the stories are based on best selling japanese novels. I'm glad a show like this was created, good to see something original in a while.

8.25 (good) Very brutal and realistic, I could say.. a filthy movie... not for everyone, but on the other hand very interesting and deep... And still I wonder... who is right- the one who refuses to eat human flesh, cause doesn't want to lose his soul and die from hunger or the one who is capable of every crime- steal, murder and devour its prays next, loosing its humanity and live more like an animal, a monster.. but keep on living and as long as he lives.. he can make his life worthy and beautiful someday...

9.75 (excellent) Brilliant! Have to be focused watching it because the scenes are totally out of order! but don't give up on it because they create an insane, awesome and bloody story! There's a lot of loveable (and insane as well) characters. I have found Claire/Vino the most interesting (the most insane perhaps?). Music is awesome. I wish there was more eps^_^ but from now on I wont comlain if a story is not ended properly, cause every one of them have no beginning and no end and that is what makes them so enjoyable (whatever it means)^_^ oh, and dont get me wrong, Baccano! has splendid ending, but even so, the story is open and it could be more and more, and more...

9.50 (excellent) Awesome show, especially to me who aim to be a mangaka^_^ contains a lot of knowledge about manga making and also learn to have respect to all mangakas who work hard to death! a little romance included, interesting characters, art style is original and fits the thing in its own way, even if its not even close to be pretty good^_^ pretty simple I would say. But the plot development is great^^

8.75 (very good) For japanese history and traditional japanese culture lovers (like me^_^) its perfect! In additional the soundtrack is flawless, sounds of traditional japanese instruments build the atmosphere of these times wonderfully. I could listen to it over and over. There is alot of action, interesting characters with different goals. Beside the main characrers there is plenty of historical ones. Im always pleased when the Shinsengumi members appear in the show (how nice to see Tetsunosuke Ichimura here, its like the continuation of Peacemaker Kurogane^_^). In other words theres many politicall issues, but if you arent good in jpn history, you could just follow the story of Akizuki (hes so cool^_^), enjoy his fights especially his duel with Sakyonosuke Kanna, which is my fav character here (his story is a real tragic and for the first time I found the duel based on katana vs revolver interesting) and watch how awesome kabuki performance can be. Of course I dont think the series need all the supernatural stuff (it almost ruined the final battle, its not Sengoku Basara...), but I can stand it somehow.

9.25 (very good) My bad, I have seen the live action movie (called Shinobi) first so I was familiar with the plot on the start. But in the end things went differently and I like the anime more couse they didn't have to rush things like in the movie. There is a lot of action from the start, charas are dying one by one, the whole thing in kinda tragic and sad, have a lot gore and violence, but feelings too.
Well, absolutely my type, shame I haven't see it sooner. Superb show.

8.50 (very good) Actually my type of anime -realistic and taking place in feudal Japan with believable characters. I think this anime need more popularity. I honestly want to rewatch this soon and then continue with the manga, cause I have seen it some long time ago, when I wasn't that much in hisorical and samurai anime. Still, I remember I like it a lot. The story has view really nice threads and awesome swordplay.

8.00 (good) Started to watch cause I'm interested in Sengoku era a lot^_^ we have characters like Sanada Yukimura, Date Masamune, Sarutobi Sasuke etc. here, so I'm in^_^ First, there is a lot of action here, one will not be bored for a moment watching it. Fighting scenes are well done, bloody too. Despite that the fights get violent, this show has funny moments and totally messed up, crazy wierdos. Bishies too. I like the characters, they are original and have strong personalities (and awesome seiyuus). I even can stand Isanami with her behavior (she fancy Saizou so much thats it kind of.. rude), was kind of shocked with it but eventually I found it pretty funny^_^ well, anyway its explained later in the show why she was raised like this, isn't it?
I don't know why but I think it should be longer and has some awesomer showdown. It wasn't bad, but kind of lacking something. And its too colorful (too much sugar if you know what I mean), trying to be a heavy bloody ninja tale on the other side. It's more of a comedy at times. Well don't mind the humor, cause its really good, but that violent and colorfull side of it just don't fit together somehow. But its just me propably, cause I like serious and realistic samurai/ninja stories. Don't mind me^_^
Ah, yes, and Saizo reminds me of Noctis from the forever unrelased game FF Versus XIII. They look kind of alike, the hair, clothes... ne?

Nah, maybe it didn't fullfil my expectations, but it was okay. I wish they didn't focused on economy and politic themes so much, but more on daily life and relations between charcters (like in the beginning). Kind of waste of time

9.25 (very good) Freaky amazing so far. After every episode I find myself google-eyed with wide open mouth covered with both hands. Can be boring at first because story developing is kinda slow, but balanced. I am amazed how characters psyche is showed here and how surprisingly (or typical) people can behave because of it, what fear could do with one's mind and so on. In addition I love the music. Fits perfectly. I just finished 21st episode. Cant wait till next week.
Finished. I'm afraid it becomes popular to make 22 episode series instead of 24 or 26. Anyway if it comes to Shiki I'm still satisfied with the ending and overall with the whole series.Indeed, it wasn't a wasted time, you don't see something like this everyday..

9.50 (excellent) I have a big sentiment for this anime... Like general climate based on dark and rainy London (propably its just me) and interesting characters (bad guys as well). After I finished anime, I've looked to the manga ang can't really stop reading! This show has its own soul and climate. I believe it was the fillers, which bored me a little on some point of the anime. Characters are really really loveable! Allen is a great protagonist, very likeable. I like even the female one, Linally, until she became a crybaby, who needs to be rescued over and over. And yes, the best of all is Lavi^_^ I like Tyki a lot too, he is quite inconspicuous and mysterious.

8.75 (very good) Confusing at first, but I really ike Hei's dubble face (for common people he is a normal student with sense of humor, even clumsy sometimes and personally he is a cold heartred contractor). Yin is admirable and Mao is cool^_^ That all contractors thing is really nice invented. People with specific superpowers, who must fullfill their contract with a payment. For example, some have too smoke, some have to kiss other people, some will get younger/older cause using their power and some could even need to drink children's blood... It's interesting. The second season was... wierd, but nice too.

9.25 (very good) Really really liked it! This show never gets boring, from the first episode to the very end. A lot of action and emotions, great characters, every one has his role to play. Very bloody on the other hand, but it suits it a lot. Awesome opening (theme song by Fade wheehee! :D), I like the art style too. Fav char to pick up?... uhmm.. Kiyomasa "Crow" Senji^_^
Wanna read the manga so badly couse I really wanna know what will Ganta do, when he get to know that Shiro... uhmh, u know^_^

8.75 (very good) Completed all in one evening... without doubt the plot is interesting, mostly because there's A LOT of mysteries to reveal. The main protagonist is a huge mystery himself, finding himself in front of the White House, totally naked, except of a gun and a phone in his hands. In addition he don't remember a thing about who he is. Among with the main female protagonist (who meets him for the first time like that.. she happend to be in front of the White House as well) they make a really lovely couple^_^ Overall the show is great and I can highly recommend it to everyone. Hope the two movies, which continue the story will answer my remaining questions.
Hmm, in the end the first eps of TV series are the best I think. The second movie even surprisingly bored me for a moment... but everything is clear if it comes to the stoty^_^

Well-known face^_^ The show includes a lot of bloodshed, gore and nudity, if only the plot was deeper and more dramatic.. Not even sure what I mean here

9.25 (very good) Great show, I love the dark cyber punk atmosphere and the characters. Lil is one of the most original girl I've seen in the anime and Vince is the most mysterious main char ever xD still don't know what really it was about, have kind of my own interpreation of the story, which turn out to be pretty complicated in the end, tough the plot is rather linear. It has some nonsense episodes, which can spoil all the fun so just forget about them xD

9.50 (excellent) Awesome so far! There is a lot of action, awesome charas and events. I love the humor here, it's all so crazy^^ maybe the art is average, but I really admire it cause of it's gag style. Hope it will get known as much as Naruto, which it reminds me but there's no so many annoying fillers (yet?) and none of the main charas annoys me (like Sakura or Sasuke later)- I love all of them instead!

8.50 (very good) Very good one. Like the developing relatioship between Saber and Shirou. Plus interesting personas like Archer and Gilgamesh. The ending was nice, predictable, though. The movie, which is alternative version to the original series was great (art especially), but they complicated things too much, I think. Gilgamesh is really a hardcore bastard with that heart removal, handsome bastard in addition^_^ good thing is that Archer has more time on the scene this time. I heard they will do second season, or rather a prequel. Could be interesting, can't wait^_^

9.50 (excellent) I like it a lot more than Fate/Stay Night, that is how the War for the Holy Grail really should look like! the masters are adults, they are smart, use dirty tricks, betray one another to achieve their goals.. some are heartless, some has great ideals. Servants are proud, have strong personalities and fight serious! Plus it's not focused only on Saber this time. The fights themselfs look amazing! whole graphics are superb! The second season is more bloody and violent. Kiritsugu's story is one of the saddest thing I've seen in a long time. A show truly worth everyone's time!

8.75 (very good) Took me some time to really get into watching this, maybe the first eps trying to be exrtaordinary but they cannot, cause of the plot development. A normal student with weak personality becoming some kind of hero all of a sudden, don't even know why. He can draw out people's hearts as weapons (Voids)... I didn't like the idea at first. The strongest point of this show (next to amazing art) is plot and main character development I think. It gets really serious with time and Shu (the main) builds his personality through many failures, mistakes, weaknesses and tragedies. The usage of Voids became really interesting with time as well. But it all becames really amazing from around episode 15. So we have 7 last eps to be rated 10/10, the previous 8/10 and the first ones even 7/10. So if you are gonna watch it - watch it to the end.
And of course I'm seeing it as independent anime with it's own style, even if there are elements copied from Code Geass and such. CG is a masterpiece with a genius as main char, GC is just a good show to watch with weakling who trying to be Lelouch with time, but is original in his own way. Guess every show which trying to be another Code Geass will fail, so there is no point in comparing. Wonder how would CG looks with GC art... wow!

Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan

Last Updated: Oct 09, 2012

8.00 (good) Characters design is breathtaking and graphic is awesome, that we all know. I'm interested in Shinsengumi group story as well, but to face the truth... Lately its like a predictable show named "who's going to save Chizuru next?". The plot would be more... ah well, I'm just saying. Let's wait and see how will it end^_^
And so it ends. Turn out to be a very sad story. It's a shame the second season has only 10 eps (should be at least 12...), maybe then Chizuru would already draw her sword not only stand there and watch all the time. However the ending left us some questions without answers. Overall would be done better but the fun just can't be spoiled with so adorable graphics, music and character designs. At least in the game you can choose how it ends^_^
About Hakuouki Reimeiroku: the prequel good point are characters - we folloe Ibuki, who is likeable, there is strong antagonist Serizawa, an interesting character and the greatest advantage: there is no annoying Chizuru;p but the plot is still kinda slow, my, maybe because they stick with the history too much, just added the Water of Live (without it there would be no action at all).. its samurai anime so there should be blood and action, a tragedy, gosh... who needs all that dialogues and boring plot?

9.00 (very good) About the first season:
Sure it can be confusing.. a lot. You have more questions all the time than you get answers... acually there are no answers for some time. We see alternative versions of one story (if you already get it, that they are alternate versions), but we can find out a bit of the truth in each. They are all real, some things just have to happen, but some are mutually exclusive, paradox is created. You don't know what to believe. Well, its amazing how some nonsenses are actually explained afterwards (spoiler alert-... the version where Mion is the killer, its a total nonsense in the end when Kei is in the hospital, but it the Shion arc it makes a perfect sense! amazing!). Its like playing Heavy Rain or some rpg that have many endings to get, you found out new things with each one, but can't say which one is true... but I really like the concept. its intriguing.
Well some things still have to wait to be explained anyway. Overall you must have some nerve to watch it, theres a lot of gore, hardcore scenes, ya know... but I like it, now I'm watching Kai and looks like we will have all the answers we want!
And I love Keichi's seiyuu! the same that Sanada Yukimura has in Sengoku Basara, you can feel the fighting spirit in this voice hahah XD
Ok, after finishing Kai I get all the answers and all makes perfect sense and is well ended^^ wonder if I didn't like the first season more, cause of all the gore, psychic games and madness... well I can call the S1 "questions" while S2 stands for "answers"^_^
Rei is alright too, nice additional eps.
